About Us
Background
Mirembe Children’s Ministry is a community-based organization founded in 2014 (Registered in 2018) on the pillars of love, hope, and desire for change. It supports orphans, needy, street, and vulnerable children in Waitambogwe village (Waina Sub-county) using a holistic approach to reduce poverty. The organization promotes
the welfare of the rural poor through education, sponsorships, and life skills training. It also works to improve community health by tackling diseases linked to poor sanitation and hygiene and addresses mental health challenges faced by children affected by HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, and teenage pregnancy.
Additionally, Mirembe Children’s Ministry empowers adolescents with information on sexual and reproductive health, career guidance, and HIV/AIDS awareness—encouraging safer choices to reduce early pregnancies, school dropouts, and child marriages. Through educational scholarships, school fees, and scholastic materials, the organization uplifts orphans and vulnerable children to build brighter futures.
