Requirements
Volunteering at Mirembe Children’s Home is a meaningful way to bring hope and love to vulnerable children. Here’s what you may need to join us:
- ✅ A compassionate heart and respect for children and families in need
✅ At least 18 years old (or younger with guardian consent, if your policy allows)
✅ Willingness to follow the organization’s guidelines and code of conduct
✅ Proof of identity (National ID or passport)
✅ Ability to commit time consistently (whether daily, weekly, or for special events)
✅ Basic communication skills (local language or English)
✅ Relevant skills (teaching, childcare, counseling, sports, music, life skills)
✅ Willingness to attend a short orientation/training session before starting.
Process
1️⃣ Express Interest
Fill out our simple volunteer interest form online or visit our office to learn more.
2️⃣ Submit Application
Complete and submit the volunteer application form along with a copy of your National ID or passport.
3️⃣ Attend Orientation
Join our short orientation session to understand our mission, values, and volunteer guidelines.
4️⃣ Assignment & Schedule
We’ll discuss your skills, interests, and availability, then match you to suitable volunteer activities.
5️⃣ Start Volunteering!
Begin making a real difference in the lives of orphans, vulnerable children, and widows in our community.
